Nature's Playhouse - Clawson

Nature's Playhouse in Clawson is a brand new indoor play space for young children.  Located in the Hunter Community center in Clawson, Nature's Playhouse is specifically designed for a calm, relaxed and fun experience.  They incorporate natural and recycled toys into their play space to minimize the effect on the environment.  Most of the items in the room are made of natural fibers or wood.

We were warmly greeted by one of the owners upon our entry and welcomed into their space.  We were asked to sign a liability waiver.  Admission is $9 for 1 child, $13 for 2+ children or you can buy a Play pass (good for 5 admissions in 1 year) $35 for 1 child, $55 for 2+ children.

Rosa was so happy to get right down to the playing part of this adventure.  She just loved the stones, baskets, kitchen accessories, dolls, and wooden trucks.  There was plenty to keep her busy for the ninety minute drop in play time.  Also in attendance were two infants, a set of two year old twins and two other children who were about two and a half or three.  All the children played nicely and appeared to enjoy their experience.  The mom's all took time to chat with other moms and play with their children while sitting on the floor or on cushions.  The owners were very involved in the play and interacted with each of the mothers.

All in all it was an awesome experience.  I really liked how I was able to feel the effects of the relaxed atmosphere.  It was great to be able to sit down and relax and keep an eye on Rosa wherever she decided to go.  I highly recommend Nature's Playhouse for children under the age of five.  To get more information about their drop in program or other classes they offer, visit their website: http://naturesplayhouse.com.
