Rochester Cider Mill - Rochester

It's fall, which means it is time to hit the cider mills for fresh donuts, hand picked apples and yummy apple cider.  Rochester Cider Mill is located on Rochester Road, just two miles north of Downtown Rochester.

Admission to the cider mill is free.  They offer fresh cider, donuts, vegetables, apples, candy and caramel apples, apple crisp, pies, honey, syrup, popcorn, cinnamon and apple sticks and farm fresh eggs.  A sign on the donut case warned that peanuts are used to make some of the donuts.  We tried two donuts and fresh apple cider, both were quite delicious.  Seating is available both indoors and outdoors to enjoy your treats.

Rosa and I wandered around inside looking at all the antique tools and items they had on display.  Rosa enjoyed playing in the corn table.  During the weekend you can watch the apples get pressed in the back room.

I talked for a bit with the employee who told me that they will not have a corn maze and some of the other activities  this year due to problems with the city zoning.  They do have a petting farm (with sheep), the corn table and a straw mountain (available soon).

We enjoyed our morning at Rochester Cider Mill.  It has a small town charm and relaxed atmosphere that sets it apart from other mills, and best of all, admission and activities are free!!
