What's the Buzz? - September 16 - 18, 2011

Goodison Good Tyme - This family friendly event hosts music from the Paint Creek Folklore Society, face paining, balloon artists, bounce house, rock wall and more.  Admission is free.  The Goodison Good Tyme will be held at Bear Creek Nature Park on Saturday, September 17th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Troy Family Daze - Family activities include free stage shows, talent shows, amusement rides, youth/parent contests, a youth area with entertainment, games and crafts, fireworks and more. 4-11 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, 1-9 p.m. Sunday. At Zion Christian Church in Troy.

Friday night Flipout - Fridays are a fLipOut at fLipSpot Gymnastics and Cheer! fLipOut begins at 7:45pm and runs till 9:30pm. The cost is $15 at the door and is open to all 12 years of age and older. The cost includes pizza, beverages and lots of fun. All participants must have a signed waiver from a parent or legal guardian. Visit flipspotgym.com to download a waiver. 

Our Lady of La Salette Fall Funfest - 5 -11:30 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. - 11:30 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. Carnival rides, live entertainment, garage sale, chili challenge, raffles and more.

fLipSpot Gymnastics and Cheer is having an Open House in conjunction with National Gymnastics Day, September 17th, 2011 from 3:30pm till 7:30pm. Click on fLipSpot Open House for more information.

Hawkfest at Lake Erie Metropark - See hawks in the sky and meet a few at Lake Erie Metropark’s “22nd Annual Hawkfest,” a two-day celebration of the annual fall migration of birds of prey - hawks, eagles, falcons and vultures - on Saturday and Sunday, September 17 and 18, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. 

Sleeping Beauty - A fan favorite, PuppetART's production of Sleeping Beauty is a puppet ballet. The story is told through the movement of the puppets and the wonderful classical music that accompanies the show. Recommended for all ages.

Northville Victorian Festival - Journey back through time to a simpler era with a visit to downtown Northville's 23rd annual Victorian Festival on September 16-18. Experience the art, history, and romance of the 1800s amid Northville's historic downtown district and tree-lined streets.. 5-10:30 p.m. Friday, noon to 10:30 p.m. Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Downtown Northville.
