Hair Donation

On Thursday Rosa and I visited the Palace of Auburn Hills to donate our hair.  Feld Entertainment, Disney on Ice, Wigs for Kids and  Michigan College of Beauty - Troy collaborated to accept hair donations before the opening performance of Disney On Ice - Dare to Dream.

I spoke to Rosa about the event many times before the event and told her I was going to donate my hair to help make a wig for children who had lost their hair because they were sick. I told her that if she wanted to, she could donate her hair too.  I was one proud mama that she decided to give her hair to Wigs 4 Kids.

Here we are before the hair cut.

Here she is getting her hair cut.

Rapunzel came out to talk with the kids and take pictures.  Rosa told her she looks like Rapunzel, and she said "I am Rapunzel."  In this photo (one of my favs), Rosa is telling Rapunzel about Mother Gothel and she is warning her that she is evil.

How awesome is this?

And post hair cut.  I'm not so thrilled about the actual cut, but as it was explained, they were just cutting our hair so it didn't look like we had our hair chopped off.
