Chewbeads Review

Teething is a touch time and with young children and wearing jewelry is often a dangerous prospect.  Carlyn puts everything in her mouth and jewelry is an easy target.  Regular necklaces are not built to be handled or teethed by toddlers and might break easily under the pressure.  I have been pining over buying a set of Chewbeads for a few months and got to try them out with Carlyn at the last Tummy to Toddler event.  (Thank you Elephant Ears).  After contacting the company, Chewbeads offered to give me a set to try out with Carlyn.  AWESOME!  Chewbeads makes beautiful necklaces and bracelets that are meant to be worn by mothers and teethed by toddlers.

I simply love that the beads are made with 100% silicone and are soft on babies gums.  My necklace has a breakaway clasp, so if Carlyn pulls too hard it will just come apart there rather than break.  The jewelry is easy to clean (and dishwasher safe) and contain no BPA, PVC, Phthalates, Cadmium or Lead.

So I love them, they are fashionable, fun and bright, but what does Carlyn think?  Well, she enjoys them too.  She tends to get bored easily, but we have had these beads for a couple of weeks and she still loves to chew on them.

Chewbeads come in a wide variety of colors and styles and made a great Baby Shower or Mother's Day gift.  (HINT HINT... Chancellor, Damian (these would make a great gift for your mother... Black Perry Necklack or maybe the Punchy Pink Bleeker, please and thank you. )

You can purchase Chewbeads online, or check your favorite local baby supplies store to see if they carry them.  Two of my favorite's are Elephant Ears in Ann Arbor and Modern Natural Baby in Ferndale.  A complete list of Michigan stores that carry them can be found online.
