Heritage Park Splash Pad – Farmington Hills Visitor’s Guide and Photos

Heritage Park in Farmington Hills has an awesome splash pad, covered pavilions, a playground, walking trails, nature center, restrooms and more.  The park is free to the public and their hours are from 8 am to dusk and the Heritage Park Splash Pad runs from 10 am until 8 pm.  Heritage Park is located on the west side of Farmington Road between Ten and Eleven Mile Roads.

The kids really had a grand time.  The water was a bit cool, but refreshing.  I like that they have a sensor that you have to press every few minutes that saves water if no one is using the splash pad.

There are a lot of different water elements from fountains, buckets coupled with a few water guns.

The restrooms were not only right by the splash pad but were decent.  During our visit, we saw cobwebs in the corners. However, the floors were free of debris and looked clean otherwise.

Guests will find plenty of space to set down a towel along the grass around the pad.  There are also a few benches too.  The concrete splash pad is not so great for crawling children.  Also, many children skinned their knees on the day we visited.

There were garbage cans along the outer perimeter together with a few young trees for shade.  In due time, they will be much bigger and it will be perfect.

Heritage Park Playground

Near the splash pad is a medium-sized playground area with a larger structure for the older children as well as a small toddler structre. Traditional swings together with baby buckets swings are available near the play structure.

If you get hungry there is a little snack shack right next to the restrooms.

On the other hand, you can bring your own lunch or snacks and eat in the pavilion.

Heritage Park

Overall Heritage Park Splash Pad is one of the best free splash pads in the area and a great place to cool off in the summer.
