Watermelon Smoothie - July update! Shaklee 180™ Sponsored Post

I have been working hard and slacking off all at the same time.  The result is a nice steady weight.  I am still stuck between 245 and 250 pounds.  Not that I'm surprised.   We celebrated my girls' birthdays this past weekend and got an awesome cake from Alison Elle Edible Art.  It was AWESOME!





That being said, I think I ate most of it.  Okay, not more than 1/2 but WAY more than I should have.  We still have a little left over and it is killing me.  I want to eat it now.... hold on I will be right back.

Okay the cake is gone.  Just kidding!


Anyway, I got watermelon for the girls party and we didn't even cut into it.  I totally forgot, so I figured I would use it in my smoothie this afternoon and YUMMO.  It was fantastic.

Here is the recipe:

  • Watermelon - Raw, 1 cup, diced ~ 46 calories
  • Shaklee- Vanilla Shake Mix (2 Scoops Powder Only), 2 scoops ~180 calories
  • Cinnamon, ground, 1 tsp ~ 6 calories
  • Kroger Apriva - No Calorie Sweetener, 1 tsp ~ 0 calories 
  • Hunts Snack Pack - Sugar Free Vanilla Pudding, 1 pudding cup ~ 60 calories
  • Total ~ 292 calories 

I did a lot of walking last week, but this week has been a dud, minus the walking we did at the Zoo yesterday.  I got this image in an email from Map My Walk.  It made me feel awesome about working out.

So I almost burned about 2/3 of a pound just from walking/running.  I have been doing interval training, gearing up for an eventual 5k.  I am hoping to sign up for one in the next few weeks.  I will be doing my measurements later this month!

Finally, I want to give my wonderful son a shout out.  He has been so supportive of my weight loss.  He is telling me all the time how great I look.  He told me that if I lose another 20 pounds by the time he gets back from boot camp he will pay for me to get a massage.  I'm ready to do this!!!  Time for a RE-Boot and a slow and steady MAD DASH to the finish line;)

  1. That is so awesome of Damon!!! Nothing like a little motivation, that always helped me along in losing the weight or hitting a goal. I'm glad you mentioned that you liked the watermelon in a smoothie. I have been buying some but wasn't sure how it would turn out. Way to go for even just staying the same. It's super hard in the summer to lose- and harder when you have things like birthdays and birthday cake laying around, I know! lol Keep up the walking & running. :) And yes, calorie counting sucks, but it absolutely works.
