Goldfish Swim School - Clarkston: swimming lessons for children

Rosa attended her first swimming class at Goldfish Swim School in Clarkston last week, courtesy of TweetTeam.com.

Goldfish Swim School is right off of I-75 and Sashabaw Road.  Their address is 6340 Waldon Center Drive, Clarkston, Michigan.  They have a beautiful brand new building right in front of a newer subdivision.  It is beautiful.

Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by a staff member and asked to fill out some paperwork.  Rosa and Carlyn played nicely in the toy area (complete with chalk board and books) while I filled out the required paperwork.

When the specified time came, Rosa went into the pool area to start her lesson.  Then, Rosa does what Rosa does and she decided she didn't want to swim at all.  I was so impressed with the ladies there who got her in the water and smiling within just a few minutes.  It was amazing.  The instructors were so great with her (and the other children).  They all had a great time swimming, blowing bubbles, kicking and splashing and so much more.  Thirty minutes just flew by and it was time to get out.

Of coarse Rosa is Rosa and she didn't want to leave, so with a full face of tears and some busted ear drums, we left the building.

So a little about the facility.  I love the  Goldfish Swim School in Clarkston.  The water is always ninety degrees and the air is warm.  It is so comfortable to go swimming there. There is no "getting used to the water" as it feels like bath water.

I love that the showers are right in the pool and they provide the soap for you.  Simply amazing, makes it so easy to get your little one showered.  The changing rooms are so adorable and have plenty enough room for an adult and two little children.

The instructors were fantastic, and there were plenty of life guards on duty as well. They keep the class sizes small to maximize your child's time in the water with an instructor.  Finally, they don't force the children to do anything they don't want to do.  They make everything fun.

They provide hair dryers and spinners for your bathing suit, so your not carrying around a sopping wet suit.

In addition to swimming lessons, Goldfish Swim School offers open swim times so you can enjoy the pool as a family.  You can check their hours here: http://goldfishswimschool.com/swimming-lessons/location/clarkston-michigan#tabSelected=locationTab:Hours & Info.  I highly recommend this location for swimming classes and open swim.
