Inglenook Park in Southfield

Inglenook Park is located in Southfield on 12 Mile Road, between Evergreen & Lahser roads and offers gravel Jogging/Fitness Trails, Neighborhood Ballfields, a spacious Picnic Area (no shelter), Playlot, Restrooms, Nature Area and Public Parking.

Thanks to my friend, Robyn who tipped me off to this gem!!

We spent all of our time at the play area.  Rosa and Carlyn had a fantastic time.  The main structure has a barn theme.  It was a bit big for Carlyn (20.5 months).  She did a pretty good job navigating it, though I followed her around and she did fall down a step while we were there.

There is a lot for a wide range of ages.  I love these staggered stepping stones for older children.

This spider web structure is fantastic for the older children too.

The toddler structure is much smaller than the rest of the equipment.  Carlyn spend about one minute exploring this and moved on to the bigger structure.

There is covered seating/tables for enjoying a snack or lunch or just taking a break.  There are also a few park benches around the area for parents to sit and relax.

One huge plus were the public restrooms at this park.

We had a grand time, the park was clean and nice.  Garbage cans were available near the tables.  There is currently construction in half of the parking lot, but other than that everything was wonderful.

See more images in our photo gallery.

So where is your favorite park?  I will be making my rounds this summer and featuring some of my favorites.
