Fort Fraser is a wonderful wooden playground located in Steffens Park in Fraser. The park is located behind Fraser City Hall at 33000 Garfield Rd. just south of 14 Mile Road. The best parking spots for this playground are located on Gladys, right off of Anita Ave. (look for the sign for the VFW Hall).
There is a ton to do at this park. There are slides, swings, rings, monkey bars, sand, tunnels, and lots of places to climb and hide.
One of my favorite features of this park is the restrooms. With two little ones, we take many trips to the bathroom on every trip. This park also hosts Baseball Diamonds, Basketball Courts, Multiple Soccer Fields, Pavilions, Sand Volleyball Court and Tennis Courts.
Fort Fraser is a bit of a challenge with Carlyn. I felt like I had to follow her around to make sure she didn't get away and it was hard to keep my eyes on her. It was impossible to keep my eyes on both kids at the same time. Thankfully the space is enclosed and there is only one entrance. Plus, Rosa is generally very well behaved.
Overall the park was nice. It was free of debris, but one of the slides ( you can see it below to the left) was closed because it was damaged. It is a great space for older children who can play independently without much adult supervision.
