Green Oak Village Place of Brighton, Michigan

DressBarn Ensembles
Last Thursday evening, Amber (www.metrodetroitmommy.com)  and I went to a fashion event at Green Oak Village Place.  This mall was a huge web of traffic circles and outdoor shopping plazas in Brighton, Michigan.  The event was the first of hopefully many of such type gatherings.   It was quaint, with about ten vendors who set up beautiful displays of their fashions and beauty products.   About 20-30 bloggers and fashion enthusiasts turned up to eat, drink, and talk shop while perusing the goods.  Not only did they serve a nice dinner equipped with beer and wine, but they also gave away a couple free prizes.  It was a very nicely planned event.  Hopefully, the next time this event rolls around it will be bigger and better.  We dream of a live fashion show, free samples, more door prizes, and many more vendors and participants.

This was my first time visiting Green Oak Village Place and I was shocked by how big it is.  I can't wait to go back even though it is a quite a hike from Ferndale.  Check it out at www.shopsatgreenoak.com

Here is a list of the vendors that were present at the event:
Ulta
Dressbarn
White House Black Market
Yankee Candle
Chico's
Charming Charlie

Ulta sent over a skin specialist, a cosmetic specialist and a hair specialist.
These stores had representatives available to talk about their products and sales.  I was intrigued by Ulta who had me convinced to drop a pretty penny on their beauty services...I'll take a microderm abrasion, followed by a makeover with their hair and cosmetic products please.  Another of my favorites is White House Black Market.  They had some beautiful jewelry on display!!!!  Good thing they offer such great coupons/discounts when I go there.  My favorite part, however, was networking with other bloggers and making new friends!  See you next time!

Chico's had a nice display of clothing and accessories.

I made Amber try on this necklace she was eyeing up by White House Black Market.

I love White House Black Market clothing and accessories!

The food and beverages were a hit!

Charming Charlies on the left.

  1. Great to meet you, Carmen! Thanks to you and Amber for coming out. And yes, the next event (likely in the spring for Spring Fashion) will be bigger and better. :)
