Downtown Rochester - Small Business Saturday 11/29

Join the merchants of downtown Rochester on Saturday, November 29 for Small Business Saturday!  Small Business Saturday is a day dedicated to strengthening the community by supporting local small businesses. The Rochester Downtown Development Authority has joined more than 370 advocacy organizations that have made it a mission to bring business to their downtown areas on this day.

Now in its fifth year, Small Business Saturday serves as the ceremonial kickoff to the holiday shopping season for small businesses across the United States. In 2013, nearly 1,500 Neighborhood Champions rallied local businesses and created events and activities to drive shopping at small businesses around the country. The day was also championed by elected officials in all 50 states and Washington D.C., including President Obama who took his daughters shopping at a local bookstore.

The Rochester Downtown Development Authority (DDA), an official supporter of Small Business Saturday, along with Carriage Ride Sponsor, Lake Trust Credit Union will offer free carriage rides from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm on November 29. The carriage rides will pick-up at the corner of E. Fourth  & Main Street. Rides will be given on a first come, first serve basis with no advanced reservation accepted.

  1. Look well to this day. Yesterday is but a dream and tomorrow is only a vision. But today well lived makes every yesterday a dream of happiness and every tomorrow a vision of hope. Look well therefore to this day.
