Last week we had the pleasure of visiting Castaway Play Cafe in Howell.  Castaway Cafe  is located right off of I-96, just north of the Tanger Outlets.  After a bit of a ride in the car (we live by the Detroit Zoo), the kids were anxious to get out of the car and get to playing.  It didn't take long for the employees to check in the large group (from a preschool) in front of us and we were soon checked in and ready to explore.

The children were so thrilled to check out the inflatable section of the play space.  This slide was a huge hit with all three children.  Enzo (the youngest at 2 years 2 months) was able to easily navigate everything in Castaway Play Cafe.

With five levels of play, this is the largest indoor play structure in Michigan.  It is gigantic and there is plenty here to keep the kids busy for hours.  In fact, we would have stayed well pas 3 hours, except that nap time was imminent and no one wants cranky kids.

Plenty of comfy places to sit on a weekday.  Last time I attended on a Saturday, though, it was jam packed.  The seats are well worn, but clean.

There are also a ton of video games for the kids to enjoy, although I was able to declare this area off limits for my little ones.  With so many other things to do, I wanted them to burn off that energy.

Castaway Play Cafe also offers the opportunity for the children to build a stuffed animal, play laser tag and many different menu options.  We ordered a mini pizza, bread sticks, a small salad and a corn dog kids meal.  We had PLENTY of food for the four of us, we even took some home.  The food was good.  I especially loved the bread sticks dipped in Ranch dressing.  YUM.  The fries (that came with the corn dogs) and the pizza were popular with the kids.

Overall we had a great experience and will visit again when we are in the neighborhood.  The facility appeared to be clean, although some of the equipment was well worn.  The kids white socks were clean after our 3 hours of play.  I also observed two employees cleaning the play area while there were no customers that needed assistance.
