Container Geek - review

Container Geek provided free services in exchange for this promotional post.  All opinions posted are my own and genuine, your experience may differ.

With the birth of my fourth child, things have been a little hectic.  My pregnancy was a bit rough and I was seriously depressed on top of other things, and having a c-section required several weeks to recuperate.  So you can imagine what weeks of piled up laundry looks like, or the dishes in the sink and the bathroom... OI!  Okay, it wasn't that bad at all, because I have an awesome hubby who was able to take off a couple of weeks of work and keep up on the chores.. but organization is not my strong suit.

I live in a house where somebody stores empty boxes back in the cupboard and milk cartons with just 1/2 teaspoon of milk left are carefully preserved in the fridge.  Our pantry needed some serious help. I decided to take this opportunity to try out Container Geek's professional organizational services.

This is our food pantry:

HOT MESS! Right?  This is the product of about one year of chaotic food storage.  Instead of "where does this belong?" Often the question is "Where will this fit?"  It appears we do not have any room for anything in there.

Where's the ____?  Do we have any ____?  Oh, wow, I found ____.  Seriously, these questions waste time and money.

So Angie from Container Geek came to my rescue.  She asked a ton of questions, like "What is working?"  "What isn't working?" "How often do you use this?" "Does this work for you?"

Angie came up with a logical organization for our pantry that now works for our family.  And we can see everything... just check it out:

We also have room to spare for when we buy more groceries.  Simply amazing!  Angie is a quick, efficient and logical organizer who gives a lot of though and care to meeting her customers needs.  I am very impressed with the pantry and would highly recommend her services to anyone who needs help getting things in order.

  4. I really need this for my family room. My daughters toys have completely taken over.. It seems like they multiply overnight. She has too many things and nothing is organized.

  5. One trick I learned a while ago is to "face" your pantry like they do in supermarkets - labels front. It sounds obvious, but it makes everything look much more organized and makes things easier to find. It also breeds a mentality of neatness. You'd be surprised what a lasting difference facing your shelves can make.
