Grand OpeningMod Pizza in Northville- “Pay What You Want” fundraiser benefiting Main Street League

Grand opening to include a “Pay What You Want” fundraiser benefiting Main Street League

TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants (TSFR), a Michigan-based family-owned restaurant group with an expansive portfolio of casual, quick service and family dining restaurants throughout the state, will open its newest Michigan MOD Pizza restaurant on Friday, August 14, in Northville. TSFR Brand Leader of MOD Pizza Jake Schostak made the announcement.
In celebration of the brand’s rapid expansion in Michigan, TSFR and MOD Pizza will host an all-day “Pay What You Want” fundraiser starting at 11 a.m. and running through dinner service at its Northville restaurant, located in Northville Park Place at 18821 Traditions Drive. During the “Pay What You Want” day, guests will be able to pay an amount of their choosing for their meal, with all proceeds benefiting Main Street League to aid the organization in its mission to make a difference in the local community by the contribution of time, talents, and financial resources.
“We are so proud to continue the rapid expansion of MOD Pizza with the opening of its second location in Northville,” said Schostak. “As leaders in the restaurant industry, this location reinforces the continued evolution of the TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants brand, as well as our commitment to bringing unique and innovative dining options to Michigan. We look forward to celebrating this newest location with local residents and further engaging with the local community.”
Based in Seattle, MOD’s individual artisan-style pizzas are made on demand, using organic fresh-pressed dough and signature sauces, including MOD red sauce and MOD white sauce. As the company that launched the fast-casual pizza niche, guests can create their own pizzas and salads, using any combination of more than 30 fresh-featured toppings, or they can choose from a menu of MOD classics. Each pizza is hand-cooked in an 800 degree oven in five minutes or less and salads are hand-tossed in front of the customer. MOD also serves local draft beers, wine, handspun milkshakes, and house-made lemonades and iced teas.
In 2014, TSFR announced plans to bring 25 MOD Pizza restaurants to Michigan during the next five years. Its first MOD Pizza restaurant opened in Livonia in June 2015, and a third MOD Pizza location is underway in Rochester.
