There is a big world out there to explore, so get out and discover a slice of it right in your own backyard.

Destination 4-H Discovery Day is scheduled from noon-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4 at the Oakland County Market, 2350 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford. Through educational, hands-on, family-friendly experiences, this special event will highlight the opportunities available to youth in Oakland County 4-H. The event is hosted by Michigan State University Extension – Oakland County 4-H Youth Development and the Oakland County Market.

Designed for families with children ages 5-19, among the activities at Destination 4-H Discovery Day are demonstrations, hands-on activities, crafts, inflatables and a zip line. These activities give participants an opportunity to boost their knowledge and have fun all at the same time.
