Last Minute Birthday Gifts From National Geographic Kids {giveaway ends 11/6/18}

How many times do you find yourself on the way out the door to a birthday party and you have to stop and buy a gift before you go?  If you are like me, you are a last minute shopper.  I try to keep non-gender specific gifts on hand just for these instances.  National Geographic Kids books make a great gift idea. National Geographic Kids gave me a copy of each of these titles to facilitate this post and giveaway.  This post contains Amazon affiliate links.

The books are fun and easy to read with vibrant images and easy to digest material that normally spans no longer than a two page spread in the book.  Making the books easy to pick up and put down, perfect for car rides, doctor’s office visits or when they are waiting for just about anything.

As a homeschooling family, we often use National Geographic books as a supplement to our science and social studies curriculum.  These books are jam-packed with great information that children and adults will enjoy, making them the perfect gift.

Here are some of my top pics:

The National Geographic Kids Almanac 2019  is the best selling almanac for kids on the planet!!  It’s the perfect gift for fact loving children and suggested for ages 8-12.  The almanac is packed with incredible photos; tons of fun facts, crafts, and activities; and fascinating features about animals, science, nature, technology, and more.

Real or Fake? 3 will challenge children ages 8-12 to detect a hoax from the real deal.  Readers can put their logic and reasoning skills to work in this hilariously fun and educational book.

Extreme Records  is recommended for children ages 9-12 and retails for just $14.99. This book is perfect for readers that want to go to the extreme! Read about the tallest mountain to the deepest cave, from the smallest drone to the fastest trains.

Little Kids First Big Book of Why 2  is the perfect gift for children ages 4-8 and is perfect for the child who is always wondering “Why?” More than 200 vibrant photos are paired with answers to questions like “Why do dogs sniff everything?” “Why do I burp?” and “Why is ocean water salty?” This book inspires kids to be curious, ask questions, and explore the world around them.

And, you don’t have to worry about an extra trip to get a birthday card!
