Understanding the Individualized Education Program (IEP) Free Workshop

Understanding the Individualized Education Program

Michigan Alliance-PTI in Oakland County in partnership with Common Ground is offering a free workshop on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm at Resource &  Crisis Center, 1200 N. Telegraph Road, Building 32E, Pontiac. (Sign-in starts at 9:00 am) Lunch will be served. (See Map)
The purpose of an IEP is to provide the necessary supports and services so a student with a disability is successful in school. When you understand the IEP process and how to participate, you will be better able to help your child get the services he/she needs to be successful in school.

This workshop will provide participants with skills, knowledge, and ways to resolve disagreements.
Who should attend: Parents of students who have IEPs, school staff, and community members. If available, please bring a copy of the child's current IEP (for your personal use).
