LEGOLAND® DISCOVERY CENTER MICHIGAN CROWNS MASTER MODEL BUILDER, FOLLOWING TWO-DAY COMPETITION
Clint Parry earned the coveted role after beating nearly 100 competitors
Merlin Entertainments, the world’s second largest visitor attraction operator, announced that Wauseon, Ohio resident Clint Parry has been named the LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Michigan Master Model Builder, after winning a two-day creative LEGO® building competition against nearly 100 applicants.
The Master Model Builder is a full-time, hands-on role that is responsible for maintaining and updating MINILAND models, developing new features and exhibitions and working with the thousands of children expected to visit LEGOLAND Discovery Center Michigan.
“I feel very overwhelmed with how amazing this experience has been,” said Parry. “I planned to come to the competition to have a great experience, to work with talented LEGO builders and to share my enthusiasm for LEGO with children. To have made it through the end of the competition is truly unbelievable. I have loved building with LEGO bricks for as long as I can remember, and I am so excited to make this passion my career. My hope is to inspire children to build anything they can dream up.”
Parry was the winner of the two-day Brick Factor competition, earning the top place from among nearly 100 contestants in several rounds of timed building competition. His winning LEGO models include a chicken for the first animal-themed build, a water-themed roller coaster for his favorite vacation spot in the second build and a computer for the final build, as a representation of his interests.
“We are thrilled to welcome Clint to the LEGOLAND Discovery Center Michigan team,” said LEGOLAND Discovery Center Michigan’s General Manager Hayley Anderson. “We know that Clint will bring his own brand of creativity and imagination to the role, and have already been impressed with his ability to construct LEGO models against very talented opponents in the Brick Factor competition.”
When it opens this spring, LEGOLAND Discovery Center Michigan will be a 32,000-square-foot indoor attraction featuring millions of LEGO bricks and themed exhibits including a 4D cinema, two interactive rides, large soft play areas and much more.
