American Fun Center in Warren **closed**

American Fun Center in Warren invited us to come out and play last week (on the house) so we could tell you about what they have to offer.  We received wristbands for the inflatables and 100 tokens.

**** American Fun Center is now closed.  ****

Finding American Fun Center: There are no signs for the facility, but it is in the same building as the movie theater (at 12 Mile and Dequindre) and it is accessible from all three entrances.  For those of you who remember Universal Mall (when it was a real mall), American Fun Center is between where the food court used to be and where the theater is.

We arrived at about 7:15 pm on a Tuesday.  We were the only ones there for a brief time, before another family joined us, which was nice.

American Fun Center offers many different video games, many of them offer tickets, four bouncers, a birthday party area and a ticket exchange counter.

The girls spent most of their time on the bouncers, which included a bouncer/slide combo, a slide, an obstacle course and a toddler bouncer.

The girls really enjoyed the ticket games too.  The ping pong game was a big hit with Carlyn as it was very easy for her to do, although Rosa noticed right away that many of the sensors didn't work and therefore the scoring was much lower than it should have been.

The girls ended up with just over 600 tickets, which got them some fun things.  Rosa got a blow up guitar and Carlyn got a bumpy ball and punch balloon.

There is plenty of space for birthday parties.

What I loved:
The bouncers were so much fun for the girls, they were worn out and ready for bed when we got home.
The employee was very helpful and kind.
The tickets were counted by a cool machine that the girls had fun using.
The girls had fun picking out prizes.

What needed to be improved:
Upon arrival there was debris on the floor and in the bathroom.
Dust had formed a visible layer on top of some of the shelves and games.
The toilet paper and soap had been depleted in the women's restroom.
Many of the games were out of order or not working properly.

Overall the girls had a great time and want to go back again soon.

  1. So this one is closed now too? I was just looking on Yelp and the one in Oakland Mall is apparently closed also ... I had a ton of tickets still to redeem :/ my ex and I used to go there because he liked the DDR machines. It was never my favorite place though and they didn't even have bathrooms (you had to use the ones in the mall or at a dept. store).
