Weekends will be filled with live piano music from Ann Arbor’s most talented musicians.
Briarwood Mall, a Simon mall, is proud to announce that Jim King of King’s Keyboard House will provide shoppers with free, live performances on the grand piano in Center Court. The free performances will be Fridays from 5 to 7 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 2 to 4 p.m. Additional performance times will be added in the fall.
Jim King has worked at King’s Keyboard House since 1964, when he was 10 years old. He and sister, Julie, took over the family-owned business in 2006. A truly musical family, Julie now sells sheet music out of a store down the road and Jim sells pianos and other musical necessities out of King’s Keyboard House on East Stadium Boulevard.
“I’m working to keep music education interesting,” said Jim King of King’s Keyboard House. “I’m hoping to spur the interest of people wanting to play and learn more about live piano music.”
Shoppers are invited to meet Jim King and hear him perform at Briarwood Mall from April 29 to May 1, when he will personally be demonstrating many of the new pianos on display for a special sale.
“We are very excited to continue this tradition,” said Denise Murray, director of marketing and business development at Briarwood Mall. “Jim King has a wonderful connection to the musical community and our shoppers will love the live music while they shop and eat; the music program will flourish in his capable hands.”

Musicians interested in performing can contact King at 732-663-3381. For more information on Briarwood Mall, like Briarwood Mall on Facebook at www.facebook.com/BriarwoodMall or visit www.shopbriarwood.com
