If you haven't heard, LEGOLAND® Discovery Center took over the old Jeepers space at Great Lakes Crossing Outlets last year. The location is perfectly situated in District 6, by the food court and not too far from Merlin Entertainment's other attraction at GLC, Sea Life.
LEGOLAND® Discovery Center is a 32,000 square-foot indoor LEGO® attraction where kids can spend hours creating, learning, playing and having fun. The theme park features 10 different attractions and recently opened in March.
Read all about our experience at LEGOLAND® Discovery Center, we share insider tips, and images of what the facility has to offer.
But today I am going to focus on the MINILAND exhibit. Twenty builders spent about six months and used over 1.5 million LEGO® bricks to create the infamous MINILAND Detroit. More than 50 landmarks, including Comerica Park, The Renaissance Center, Fox Theatre, the People Mover are made entirely out of LEGO® bricks.
