The Jungle Book is a story that has always been close to my heart. When I was 6 years old, my Dad joined my family and this was his favorite movie. I remember the day that he showed it to us for the first time. We made a family movie night out of it, and it's been a treasured memory ever since. When I saw the tickets available to preview this movie; I knew I had to get them and take my Dad! It was a fun adventure for the two of us!
This was my first 3d movie experience, and it was awesome. The extra effects made this movie extra special. There were cute moments like a frog popping up in front of your face and even a part where everyone (including me) ducked down because we thought a branch was falling on us!
Mowgli, played by an amazing new actor, Neel Sethi - is an adorable little boy with great big brown eyes and is perfect for the part! You are sure to love this Disney classic movie and all of the memories that come along with it!
The man-cub Mowgli flees the jungle after a threat from the tiger Shere Khan. Guided by Bagheera the panther and the bear Baloo, Mowgli embarks on a journey of self-discovery, though he also meets creatures who don't have his best interests at heart.
My children are 3 and 5 and I am not sure if they are ready to see the movie - there are parts that could be scary for them. My personal opinion is that this movie is best for kids over 6 or that don't scare easily. There is a lot of emotion in this movie because several times you feel afraid for Mowgli's safety and the safety of some of the other animals.
Wishing you lots of great memories as you re-experience this childhood classic!
