West Bloomfield Parks and Recreation's Kids Komotion Concerts kick off June 23rd
Free concerts feature inflatables, interactive entertainment and food trucks
The West Bloomfield Parks and Recreation Commission (WBPRC) will host its annual Kids Komotion Concert Series starting June 23rd at Marshbank Park at 7 pm. Concerts are held once a month, June through August, and feature inflatables provided by Oakland County Parks and Recreation and food trucks.
"Kids Komotion Concerts offer a great opportunity to get the family outdoors to spend time together,” said Jennifer Tucker, executive director for WBPRC. “Previously a daytime series, we decided to offer two evening concerts this year so more families are able to take advantage of the free events.”
This year, WBPRC along with presenting sponsor, Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital, welcomes two new performers and one returning performer to the concert hill. The lineup is as follows:
- June 23rd at 7 pm – Guy Louis,Chautauqua Express
- July 21st at 11 am – Deep fried Pickle Project
- August 18th at 7 pm – Rick and Dayna
Inflatables will be available one hour before evening concerts and 30 minutes before and after the daytime concert. WBPRC will be handing out giveaways and raffle prizes to concert-goers as well.
The Kids Komotion Concerts will take place rain or shine. Attendees are encouraged to stay after the performances for a chance to meet the performers, play on the play structures and explore all of the park's amenities.
