Noodles and Company - Troy

We love to eat, don't you?  We love to try out new restaurants too, so when Noodles & Company asked my family to enjoy a complimentary dinner so we cold try out all of their menu items, we gladly accepted.

About Noodles & Company

Noodles & Company started in 1995 and was one of the very first fast-casual restaurants.  Everything is made fresh, made to order with fresh ingredients.  With a diverse menu and great flavors, there is something for everyone.  Whether you are looking for something classic or adventurous, healthy or hearty, you will find something to match your tastes and if not, they will gladly modify any item on the menu by adding or subtracting their ingredients to meet your desire.

Another huge plus for us is the Freestyle Coke machine.  Literally thousands of options and combinations which include many low or no-calorie options like flavored water, flavored lemonade and even diet flavored Fanta (hello diet grape soda... YUMMO).  Since the girls don't drink soda, it was a special treat for them to pick from many of the non-carbonated options they had available, the strawberry lemonade was one of their favorites.

We were able to do a tasting tour through just about the whole menu.  Everything was very tasty, but of coarse there were items we enjoyed more than others.  The Potstickers and cheesy garlic bread were both winners.

Check out their NEW Salads

We also tried the savory Chicken Veracruz Salad and the Napa Market Salad with Chicken.  We agreed that the Veracruz salad was our top pick between the two, but both make a great choice for the calorie conscious.

The Latin inspired Chicken Veracruz Salad contains mixed greens topped with Roma tomato, red onion, chili-lime chicken, crumbled naturally raised bacon, fresh-cut corn, tossed with Jalapeño Ranch dressing and crispy jalapeños, fresh California avocados and cilantro.

It's like a world tour in your bowl.....

It's Noodles & Company, so really it is all about the noodles.  They offer so many different flavors from around the world.  Top left, Penne Rosa, top right Pad Thai, bottom left Whole Grain Tuscan Fresca, bottom right Alfrdo MontAmore.  Of these the Pad Thai was my favorite. The Tuscan Fresca was okay, but I wouldn't order it with all the other options available.

Top left Steak Stroganoff, top right Wisconsin Mac & Cheese, bottom left Bangkok Curry and bottom right Japanese Pan Noodles.  My favorite of these four was the Japanese Pan Noodles, though the Steak Stroganoff was great too.
Kids Grilled Chicken Breast with Dipping Marinara

Kids' Favorites

Kids meals are available as well.  They offer Kids Grilled Chicken Breast with Dipping Marinara,
Kids Spaghetti & Meatballs, Kids Buttered Noodles, & Kids Wisconsin Mac & Cheese.

For dessert we tried the cookies and Rice Crisy Treats.  Both were simply delicious.  The cookies and treats were perfect - soft and chewy and very fresh.

Overall we had a great experience in our taste tour.  We can't wait to go back again and enjoy dinner with our friends and family.  This would make a great quick dinner spot for you and your family, especially if you have members with very different flavor preferences.  The staff were all super friendly, the restaurant was clean and the food was quick and fresh.

What menu item would you like to try?  Let us know in the comments below!

  1. I loooove Noodles and Co. I didn't know it's been around since 1995 though! My favorite item is the whole grain Tuscan linguine, which is no longer on the menu but they still make if I ask. I also like the Alfredo montamore.
