Rotary Park, on 6 Mile Road, between Farmington and Merriman in Livonia is the answer!
Our visits to Rotary start with a hike through the little-known forest at the rear of the park. It has great trails that are marked. Find the entrance by driving past the playgrounds and ball fields. There are great spots with fallen trees to play on!
Rotary has three playgrounds, one geared to littler children. There are swings, including some for infants. The highlights are the "old school" equipment: a four-person teeter totter and a merry-go-round. There is also a huge sandbox!
The play areas are surrounded by great open fields with lots of trees. There is a paved path around the play area that is great for bikes, skates and scooters. There are three covered pavilions, numerous picnic tables scattered throughout the park and indoor bathrooms.
There is so much to do at Rotary Park! It's easy to spend the whole day here!
