American Pie: Birthday Fun

This year we celebrated Carlyn’s Birthday at American Pie in Warren.  If you aren’t familiar with the place, it’s an all-you-can-eat pizza buffet.  We tried it a few years back and were not very impressed, but it has gotten better, and since it’s major competition closed its doors, it’s the best option in Metro Detroit.

I was not compensated in any way for this post.  All opinions in this post are genuine and completely my own.

American Pie is located on the north west corner of 12 Mile and Hoover in Warren, nestled in the shopping plaza.  It’s all you can eat, pizza, pasta, salad, bread sticks, dessert and drinks all for one low price. (At the time of publications prices were: $9.35 for Adults, $6.60 for Children aged 3-12, children 2 and under free with a paying adult.)

The pizza is  okay.  Some flavors are better than others (Mac & Cheese is one of my favs), and they are always rotating and making fresh pizza, so you are sure to get one you like.

Some of my other favorites are: Hawaiian, Buffalo Chicken, Chicken Alfredo, White Out, and their thick crust with pepperoni is pretty good too.

There is plenty of seating, booths in the front of the store and tables in the back, which makes this a great place to host a birthday party.

The kids always like to spend a few dollars in the arcade.

I have to say that the best part of the meal was the dessert pizza.  I love the chocolate pizza and cherry too.  This time the smores was a bit under cooked and had a funny flavor.

Overall it’s a good meal at a good price, but the store could use a remodel as some sections look dingy.
