Cirque Du Soleil - Ovo is coming to the Joe Louis

Metro Detroit Mommy will receive complimentary tickets in exchange for this promotional post.

My son was five the first time we went to see a Cirque du Soleil performance, it was Quidam.  It was amazing, breathtaking, suspenseful, beautiful, magical, and left us all in awe.  Since then I have seen a few other shows and all of them are simply amazing.

Cirque du Soleil in unlike anything else you will ever witness.  It is a circus, without the animals, which grabs hold of you by the senses and doesn't let go until the very end.  While the performers are the main focus of any Cirque du Soleil show, you would be remiss not to mention the attention to details in the costumes, sets, music, lighting and makeup.  It is an experience of a lifetime.

OVO, meaning “egg” in Portuguese, is coming to the Joe Louis Arena, December 22nd to 25th 2016. Tickets can be purchased here:  Prices start at just $25 for children and $44 for adults.

OVO promises to be a glimpse into a colorful ecosystem teeming with life, where insects work, eat, crawl, flutter, play, fight and look for love in a non-stop riot of energy and movement. The cast is comprised of 55 performing artists from 14 countries specializing in many acrobatic acts. You will witness busy ants, flexible fleas, an amazing silky spider all react to a mysterious egg which represents the enigma and cycles of their lives.  Highlights of the performance include a stunning Flying Act in which a group of scarabs soar high above the stage, from both edges to the middle landing on a platform.

Tickets to this event will certainly be a great holiday gift for your family.

Have you seen OVO or another Cirque Du Soleil production?  What did you think?  Leave a comment below.
