My son was five the first time we went to see a Cirque du Soleil performance, it was Quidam. It was amazing, breathtaking, suspenseful, beautiful, magical, and left us all in awe. Since then I have seen a few other shows and all of them are simply amazing.
Cirque du Soleil in unlike anything else you will ever witness. It is a circus, without the animals, which grabs hold of you by the senses and doesn't let go until the very end. While the performers are the main focus of any Cirque du Soleil show, you would be remiss not to mention the attention to details in the costumes, sets, music, lighting and makeup. It is an experience of a lifetime.
OVO, meaning “egg” in Portuguese, is coming to the Joe Louis Arena, December 22nd to 25th 2016. Tickets can be purchased here: https://www.cirquedusoleil.com/usa/detroit/ovo/buy-tickets. Prices start at just $25 for children and $44 for adults.
