Last week we were invited to enjoy a complimentary meal with Santa so we could share our experience with you. All opinions expressed in this article are genuine and my own. Your experience may differ.
The Social Kitchen and Bar in Birmingham is located on Maple Road just west of Woodward in bustling Birmingham Downtown. Parking is available on the street (one hour limit, which was just enough time for our visit), or extended parking is available in the parking structures.
The space has two seating areas available, plus the bar but still maintains their cozy, welcoming atmosphere. During our visit we enjoyed two Christmas light shows, which were amazing. The lights and music were timed together and the presentation entertained all three of my girls.
Santa was available to talk to the girls and ask them about their wish lists. He was in a great mood and very kind and patient with the girls. He was walking around visiting each table while we were there and we had plenty of time to visit with him. Take a close look at his walking stick... see that face? So cool right?
Social Kitchen and Bar hosts a great brunch menu on Saturday and Sunday, with a tasty selection of menu items like the Social Skillet, Chicken and Waffles, or Warm Chicken Salad Sandwich.
I ordered Eggs Benedict, Rosa ordered the kids Mac and Cheese and Carlyn had the pancake.
The Eggs Benedict were made with Wolferman’s English muffins, Daisyfield bacon, poached eggs, topped with hollandaise sauce and served with hashbrowns.
The Mac n' Cheese is home made with a great flavorful mix of cheeses.
The mouse shaped pancake was a huge success with Carlyn, she enjoyed every single bite.
The chef surprised us with a batch of fresh doughnuts which were heavenly.
