A long-time supporter of the Michigan Science Center (MiSci), Ford Motor Company, is continuing its partnership with MiSci by sponsoring four Ford Fun Free Days over the next year. MiSci inspires and engages curious minds of all ages with STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) and for the second year in a row, Ford’s generous support will allow MiSci to extend its reach to a wider audience. In the past, more than 10,000 visitors visited MiSci during Ford Fun Free Days.
“A good education centered on STEM will be the foundation of future innovation in business and growing prosperity for our communities,” said Yisel Cabrera, community relations manager, Ford Motor Company Fund. “MiSci showcases fun and fascinating aspects of our world, and is opening the eyes of more boys and girls to the exciting role technology could play in their career success.”
Guests who visit MiSci on the following Ford Fun Free Days will receive free general admission (preregistration is encouraged and will be available at Mi-Sci.org):
· In honor of Women’s History Month – Saturday, March 11, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
o Also, celebrating the STEMinista Project’s 1st anniversary with special programming from 8:30 a.m. – noon (Registration required, please visit Mi-Sci.org).
· In honor of Independence Day – Tuesday, July 4, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
· Back-to-school celebration and teacher appreciation – Saturday, August 19, 10 a.m.- 6 p.m.
· In honor of Veterans Day – Friday, November 10, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
