WANTED: Girls Who Want FREE Prom Dresses

If you have a teen girl in your life, then you already know: Prom season is upon us.  

You also already know the difficulty these young ladies have in not only finding the perfect dress but being able to afford one, let alone the shoes and the jewelry.  And if she has the good fortune of being able to attend more than one prom, forget about it!

So I'm here to tell you, I've got the scoop: ROCKit is here to help a sister (or daughter, or niece, or granddaughter...) out!



The Rochester Outreach and Charity For Kids program has once again assembled an incredible array of gently used or new prom gowns to distribute to local high schoolers for FREE.  This is their second year doing this important work and they need your help to make it their best yet!  Here are the details:

WHO:  All local high school aged girls are eligible.  School ID required. 
WHAT: Over 900 free gently used or new prom dresses in sizes 0-16+ (professionally cleaned by Lapels Dry Cleaning), shoes, jewelry, shawls, and other accessories 
WHEN:
  • Saturday March 25th from 12pm - 4pm 
  • Sunday March 26th from 12pm - 3pm
WHERE:  Auburn Hills Community Center
                 1827 N. Squirrel Rd, Auburn Hills MI 48326
WHY:
  • Save money: did I mention it's free? 
  • Save time: one stop shopping for shoes, jewelry, purses, and more.
  • Save the earth: recycling ain't just for water bottles!
HOW: Walk-ins are welcome but priority will be given to those who make appointments. To do so call ROCKit at (248) 710-8002.

But wait, there's more!  Not only will young ladies have the chance to shop without worry, there will also be raffles with prizes and discount coupons for other prom-related services.
