Supporting the Educational Needs of Children & Youth with Mental Health Challenges and Those Who Have Experienced Trauma

Join us to learn how mental health challenges and trauma can affect children and youth in the school setting and examine strategies and supports that can help them to be more successful. This training will: 
* Define and describe trauma in children and provide a brief overview of common mental health diagnosis in children and youth 
* Examine current statistics regarding mental health disorders & trauma in school age children & youth. 
* Describe the implications of mental health disorders or exposure to trauma in students. 
* Discuss why it matters in schools and most importantly what we can do about it! 
* Share children's mental health and trauma resources.
