Festival of the Senses - Clinton Township

Rosa and I attended the Festival of the Senses today in Clinton Township with my friend, and her two children.

We arrived in the early afternoon and had a most difficult time finding a parking spot.  We finally found a couple of spots next to the parks and rec. building, which was through the main parking lot.

We strolled around the festival and enjoyed looking at many of the vendors and their wares.  There were paintings, photos, clothes, purses, herbal remedies, books, jewelry and so much more.

We really enjoyed a few of the vendors and what they had to offer.  The first that really stood out was Liv 2 be Mod.  They offer tote bags, coloring book bags, sticker books and so much more with fun children's prints.  You can check them out on facebook:

The second business that caught my eye was the Let 'Em Be Little space.  They offer fun capes, tutus and crowns.  You may check out their website/store here:

The food was aplenty and very inexpensive.  Hot Dogs $2, Nachos and Cheese $2, and candy/chips/soda/water $1.  So lunch for Rosa and I ended up to be $6 (a lot less than Mc D's).

We enjoyed the music of Pat & Patty for almost an hour and it was time to go:(

There really wasn't a lot for the kids to do.  There were a couple of crafts that were way to difficult for Rosa so we didn't even stop.  A fire truck and ambulance sat near the entrance and the children had an opportunity to sit in them, but she was not interested.  Rosa was content to dance away the afternoon and enjoy the company of her friend as we strolled through the park.

The Festival of the Senses runs September 24th -25th, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Civic Center (Romeo Plank just south of Canal).  Admission is free.  For more information please visit their website:
