Laurie Berkner - review

Guest Blogger: Carissa Knoles

Laurie Berkner rocked the Southfield, MI venue with a solo concert for fans of all ages. She played all the favorites played on Sprout and in Preschools around the country like “Moon, Moon, Moon” and “We Are the Dinosaurs.” Children danced in the aisles in the only half filled auditorium, so there was plenty of room for fun! Laurie also shared some Hannukah songs and fingerplays, which shared her heritage and was quite fitting as we enter the winter holiday season.

To review the facility, it was clean and well organized. Volunteers from the synagogue where the event was held directed traffic and sold Laurie’s merchandise as well. Shaky eggs, song books, party hats and apparel were sold for slightly high prices, but the concert tickets were reasonably priced in comparison to other events so no complaints here! Overall the atmosphere was family friendly and Laurie put on a show that had infants kicking their feet and grandparents with pigs on their heads, too! Metro Detroit Family Fun at it’s finest with live music from Laurie Berkner!
