When reading End of Normal by SC Arscott, it was very hard to get into the book and it didn't seem to have a story line. The book is about Olivia Richards, who before the end of all normal, worried about normal things, like boys and skinny jeans. Normal ends however, when shooting lights rocket out of the skies and turn into ruthless drones, starting an invasion of the area she lives in. She teams up with friends Axel, Clara, Sawer, and her deaf brother Charlie to attempt to survive the invasion.
While reading the book, Arscott really put me into Olivia's shoes. But when reading, I was kind of confused because the story seemed to skip parts. I couldn't really get into the book because of that. The book also abruptly stopped, leaving me to think there may be a sequel, but I haven't been able to find anything on that, except the author promising more books, but nothing specific. In conclusion, I would recommend it as a book for a lazy weekend, since it is an interesting plot, and short enough to devour in one sitting.
Happy reading! :)
