Rising Phoenix Archery in Troy is the largest archery school in the United States, making it the most popular place for archery near me. We dropped in on a birthday party and tried the open range so we could share our experience with you. All opinions are our own, your experience may differ. The facility not only offers archery lessons, they also offer open range, tournaments and birthday parties.
Rising Phoenix Archery Location and Hours
Location: Rising Phoenix Archery is located at 3863 Rochester Rd. in Troy, Michigan 48083. The building is located south of Wattles on the west side of the road in a shopping plaza. Visitors should park and enter from the back and proceed to the second floor.
Member Hours:
Monday 5 pm until 7:30 pm.
Tuesday through Friday 5 pm until 9 pm.
Saturday 9 am until 9 pm.
Sunday 9 am until 6 pm.
Public Hours:
Saturday 12 pm until 9 pm
Sunday 2 pm until 6 pm
Rising Phoenix Archery Lessons Near Me
Whether you are interested in archery to get better at hunting or you would like to compete, Rising Phoenix has the perfect program for you to help you improve your skill. They offer a wide range of classes for children ages 8 and up as well as classes for adults. They also offers adaptive programs, homeschool programs, as well as programs for adults only. Skill levels vary from beginner to competition level.
In beginner archery lessons students will learn the basics of archery, universal range safety rules, equipment identification, and also get an introduction to proper form.
Open Range at Rising Phoenix Archery
We love that Rising Phoenix Archery makes the equipment available for free during open range time and also offers an orientation to every first-time guest. They are dedicated to sharing archery with as many people as possible by making open range an low-cost opportunity to try it out before taking a class.
At the time of publication Public Open Range Hours are Saturday 12:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Sunday 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm.
Birthday Parties
Each birthday party includes 2 hours of fun, with time to open gifts and enjoy dessert. Party goers can also enjoy two archery games . The best part is that they provide the equipment, and coaches to ensure everyone has fun in a safe environment. It’s the perfect party for guests of all ability levels. They even provide basic instruction and range safety at each party to ensure everyone has a great time.
Our Experience
My daughter had a wonderful experience at Rising Phoenix Archery during their Open Range. The staff were very nice and accommodating. They did thorough instructions on the mechanics, posture and safety rules on how to use a bow and arrow. The place was clean and very organized. They have a nice private room for birthday parties where the celebrant and the guests can enjoy learning archery for 2 hours. I love the unique experience you’ll get from Rising Phoenix Archery.
