FREE Month of Amazon Prime for Late Shipments

There are so many reasons I love Amazon Prime {ad}.  There's the free music and videos, image storage, and of coarse, FREE two day shipping on many items online.

So, what happens when your order doesn't arrive on time?  Simply email customer service, (some restrictions apply) and get a FREE Month of Amazon Prime.  Cool right?

It is all written right here:

Here is a sample letter that you can use:
According to the Amazon Prime policy, certain orders may qualify for one free month of Prime if not delivered on time.  The {insert name of item here} I ordered on {order date} was shipped on {shipping date} and {is scheduled to arrive/arrived} {arrival date}8, {number of days late} days later than the promised {scheduled delivery date} delivery date.  Does this order qualify?    Ordered on {order date}  Order# {order #}
Thank you,
Your name
So where can you send your email?

What happens next?  Generally one of the great people at Amazon will email you back and tell you how they will resolve the issue.  Usually they will extend your Prime membership an extra month.  I have successfully extended my membership three times.

I'm sorry to hear your shipment arrived late.

To help compensate for any inconvenience, I've extended your Amazon Prime membership by one month. The membership will now renew on March 12, 2017.

We hope to see you again soon.

We'd appreciate your feedback. Please use the links below to tell us about your experience today.
