Occupation Station in Macomb Township

I always love to announce a great brand new indoor space for young children.  Today we visited (free of charge) the Occupation Station in Macomb Township, located at 21984 23 Mile Road at the intersection of 23 Mile and Card Road on the south side of 23 Mile in the shopping plaza.

The Occupation Station was designed to provide an imaginative play environment for children ages one through eight with a large variety of different career based centers.

The play areas include a bakery, police station, fire station, animal hospital, athlete’s corner, auto center, space station, school, fitness area, dance studio, as well as a puppet show area. The library is full of books from board books all the way up to 5th grade reading level. The library also has some fun learning games and activities.

Rosa says, "Mom this is so cool, it's a real Stethoscope.  I can hear Carlyn's heartbeat." I didn't tell her they were at the Veterinary Clinic.

All three of my kids had a great time playing at this facility.  They are shoe friendly, but the kids are free to take off their shoes if they like.

The adult lounge has places to sit and relax, should you choose.

Coffee, drinks and snack are available for purchase.  (No outside food is allowed).
The owners, Megan and Michael Henry, have made a special effort to provide a wide variety of snacks that are peanut and nut free so that children with these allergies can play in a peanut/nut free space.

Overall, I found the space to be clean, well maintained, polished and inviting for the kids.  There was plenty to do to keep them busy for a few hours and the girls want to go back again.
