National Aviation Day: Free Admission - The Henry Ford

On Saturday, August 19, The Henry Ford will  celebrate National Aviation Day by inviting guests to enjoy the museum, parking and all activities free of charge courtesy of Delta Air Lines. Explore and learn about the first 40 years of flight on this celebratory occasion. One of the most miraculous periods of discovery will thrill you with iconic and history-making aircraft from Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation’s collection.

Discover the innovations and discoveries that led up to the Wright brothers’ historic liftoff and later accomplishments, like the creation of the 1939 DC-3 plane, lauded for revolutionizing global aviation while logging more than 12 million miles in less than a decade.  The Henry Ford will offer its guests a behind the scenes look at the current awe-inspiring technological advances and their partners at Delta Air Lines will offer a comprehensive look into commercial air travel with guest speakers, aviation-themed activities, and presentations.
