Assistive technology enables children/youth with disabilities to participate more fully in all aspects of life (home, school, and community) and helps them access their right to a free appropriate, public education in the least restrictive environment.)

The law requires IEP teams to consider the assistive technology needs of all children with disabilities. Any needs identified should be reflected in the content of the IEP. This training will help parents start the process by requesting an assistive technology evaluation. This training will also connect parents to their local AT coordinator.

ATTIC was formed to provide assistive technology support for special needs students in Detroit, Grosse Pointe, Hamtramck, Highland Park, and Harper Woods Schools.

RSVP with Debbie Townley by 1-25-18.

If it is after the deadline and you haven't registered, please call or email to check the status of the event.

If you require accommodations or materials in an alternative format, please let us know one week before the workshop.
