Understanding IEPs with Sandee Koski 
This workshop will help you better understand the Individualized Education Program (IEP) for children and youth who receive special education services. 
We'll cover the key IEP components and how they work together: 
* The present level of academic achievement and functional performance (PLAAFP statement) 
* Writing measurable goals and objectives 
* Support services 
* Plan implementation 

Skills for Effective Parent Advocacy with Jill Mazur Skornicka and Kanika Littleton 
This workshop explores skills parents can use to become more effective advocates for their child, including: 
* understanding your child's disability 
* knowing your school district 
* knowing your rights and responsibilities 
* organize your paperwork to support clear and effective communication 
* understanding the special education process 
* knowing how to resolve disagreements
