Visit one of more than 20 local comic book stores in Metro Detroit to pick up a FREE Comic Book on May 4th, 2024. Free Comic Book Day, celebrated annually on the first Saturday in May, offers a fantastic opportunity for families to enjoy comics together at no cost. On May 4, 2024, comic book stores worldwide will participate in this event, distributing free comics to visitors. The event, which started in 2002, not only celebrates the joy of comics but also supports local comic shops. While only select comics are free, the day is perfect for discovering new titles and potentially finding a new favorite series. It’s an excellent way for children to develop a love for reading through visually engaging stories. Before heading out, it’s advisable to check with the local participating stores, some of which also host additional fun activities.     Calling all Taylor Swift Lovers: No need to stay out ‘til Midnight to enjoy this Fearless Swiftie Event! Dress up in “Style” in your favorite Taylor era. Our DJ will supply music from all 11 albums, so come ready to dance and sing along. You’ll have the chance to visit our friendship bracelet making stations, but feel free to wear your own to trade too.
