Say Hello to Spring at the Edsel and Elenor Ford House

Bring the Whole Flock!
Bring the whole flock to Ford House to learn about terns, owls, hawks and more! The annual Welcome Back Birds event returns on May 5, and tickets are on sale now here.

At Welcome Back Birds, you will:
  • Take a guided bird walk with Wild Birds Unlimited of Grosse Pointe Woods.
  • Learn about terns on the Detroit River with the Detroit Audubon Society.
  • See live owls, hawks and other birds of prey presented by the Leslie Science & Nature Center.
  • Learn about the owls of Michigan from the DNR's Outdoor Adventure Center.
  • Make a bird feeder and bird mobile to take home.
  • Enjoy bird-themed games and activities all day long.

Guided bird walks will be offered at 8:15 and 9:15 a.m. (space is limited at each time). You will be asked to register for your bird walk time at the door. Live birds of prey demonstrations will be at 9:30 and 11:30 a.m.

Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for children ages 4 and up. Members are $10 for adults, $8 for children.


Honor Someone Special in the Tribute Garden

This Mother's Day, make a donation to the Tribute Garden at the Edsel & Eleanor Ford House to recognize a mom or other important women in your life.

With your tax-deductible donation, your loved one will be honored on signage among the vibrant blossoms in the garden.

Ford House will send a Mother’s Day card to your honoree informing her of your special gift, if you donate by April 20, 2018.
