Special Ticket Offer Benefiting Old Newsboys’ Goodfellow Fund of Detroit Now Available for the Seattle Mariners vs. Detroit Tigers Game on Friday, May 11

Package includes a game ticket, an exclusive long sleeve shirt and a $5 donation to Detroit Goodfellows

 Detroit Goodfellows score with a special Detroit baseball package for the Seattle Mariners vs. Detroit Tigers game on Friday, May 11 at 7:10 p.m. at Comerica Park. 

The special ticket package includes choice of an upper box infield, mezzanine, upper reserved infield, upper grandstand or lower baseline box ticket and an exclusive Detroit Tigers/Detroit Goodfellows long sleeve shirt. The Detroit Goodfellows will receive $5 from every special ticket sold.

“We really appreciate the Detroit Tigers involving our organization every year in this community program,” said Marshall Hunt, president of the Detroit Goodfellows. “We are looking forward to a fun-filled evening for people to come out and enjoy some great Detroit baseball at Comerica Park.”

The Detroit Goodfellows annually distributes 34,000 holiday gift packages through Detroit police precincts to needy children in Detroit, Hamtramck, Highland Park, Harper Woods and River Rouge. The 104-year-old charity’s mission is to ensure that there is “No Kiddie Without a Christmas.”

Founded in 1914, the Detroit Goodfellows is the original and oldest Goodfellows organization and is not affiliated with any other Goodfellow group. It also sponsors dental care for children in partnership with UD Mercy Dental School, provides free shoes to children in need and helps send hundreds of needy children to camp each summer.
